Busesa Community Development Organization has completed the first cycle of their community outreach from Hakabaale village, Nyamarwa Sub County in Kibaale district.
This happened on 03/12/2023 in Hakabaale village, Nyamarwa Sub County, in Kibaale District during a Community Health outreach conducted by Busesa Community Development organization with the purpose of promoting health and ensuring development of the community members.
BCDO in partnership with Busesa Medical Centre (B.M.C) has visited different communities doing a fantastic work to promote Health among the Community members of Kibaale district and Uganda at large.
“We started this initiative aiming to improve the community health and create a disease free and community with a sustainable economy” Dr Richard Lubega says.
Dr Lubega Richard who is the executive director for BCDO has hailed special praise to different none and governmental organizations such as Kibaale District Local Government, MARI stops, Baylor Uganda, KCSON, BLUESTAR, to mention but a few, which have been rendering him support in order to ensure that the first cycle of the community outreach is a success.

The Health Services provided by BCDO include: Cervical Cancer screening, HIV testing, Family Planning, Antenatal services, and all these have been freely provided to the Community Members where they have conducted the outreaches.
He explained that seven Community outreaches have been successfully conducted throughout the cycle and among them include Butelevu in Kayanja parish, Kitengyeeto in Matale Sub County, Muriika, Kibogo in Nyamarunda Sub County, Kasiimbi in Kyebando Sub county, Kitutu in Nyamarwa Sub county ,Kakenzi and Kyebando all in Kyebando Sub County, Bubango and finally Hakabaale in Nyamarwa.
While making an overview of the outreach, Dr Richard, said, over 1543 Community Members throughout the district have managed to access the BCDO Community health services and continued to thank the Community members for always being anxious to attend the outreaches whenever they were organized in their respective Areas. Said that over 300 community members have been able to get Family Planning services, 800 for Cervical Cancer screening, and 383 for HIV testing. Confirming that the turn up in every conducted outreach has been good.
“All the community members ‘that has been found positive for HIV have been given instant treatment with the help of Baylor Uganda, highlighting reaching hard to reach Areas in the District as the greatest achievement of the outreach”, “The community members who have been found positive for cervical cancer, they have been given instant referral for trial therapy”. Says Richard Lubega.
The community members from different areas of Kibaale where BCDO conducted its outreach services were left amazed and they did not waste any time but extending and revealing their happiness to the organization.

Most of the community members expressed to the media that it has been so expensive to access the health services that BCDO is freely providing to their communities.
“we have struggled a lot, we have moved long distances, but BCDO has done it for us”, olver a community member says.
”Some services are not common and there is when we visit health facilities and find when they are missing”, says Tusiime a community members.
