Community members from Bubango Sub County were submerged with happiness on their faces after Busesa Community Development Organization conducted a Community Health Outreach in the area.
This happened on 26th/11/2023 at Bubango Sub County Headquarters in Kibaale District.
During the Health Outreach BCDO provided different health services to the community which includes: Cervical Cancer screening, HIV testing, antenatal services, Family Planning and many others.
According to Dr Lubega Richard who is the Executive director for BCDO explained that BCDO with the help of Busesa Medical Centre introduced the community outreach program with the purpose of promoting the health status and also promote the development of the communities in Kibaale and Uganda at large all under the community health promotion and development program.
Dr Richard said that with support from Kibaale district local Government, KCSON, Baylor Uganda, MARI stops and others BCDO has covered different parts of the district such as Kyebando, Kakenzi, Butelevu, Kitutu, Kitengeto, Kasiimbi and Kibogo all in Kibaale, providing the health and developmental services to the communities in order to have a health community with a transformed economy.
Still he continued to ask for more support from different none and Governmental Organizations, politicians, government and any other well-wisher for the development of Kibaale and Uganda at large.
In Bubango 113 community members were registered for cervical cancer screening, 41 for family planning and 100 community members also lined up for HIV testing exercise.
The community members from different parts of Bubango Sub County and Kibaale district at large extended their positive appreciations to BCDO for extending the services nearer, highlighting that it’s been a big struggle to access them more especially in times of need in their respective areas.
He confirmed that the Organization will continue to cover other remaining areas until the all the community members receive the services which is an interesting goal for BCDO as an Organization.
